The museum is now open again for the 2019 season. We have been busy carrying out essential maintenance to the buildings and surrounding grounds. We have also been busy updating and adding to the museum exhibits.

One new exhibit is the cockpit canopy from a Panavia Tornado GR4 donated by Paul Kennard from Hastings. The exact aircraft from which it came is not known, however, a radio frequency card fitted at the navigator’s position lists Lossiemouth, Tain and 617 Squadron so the canopy was most likely last used by a 617 Squadron Tornado from Lossimouth.

Member Philip Baldock laying out the display inside the canopy

Thanks to Philip Baldock, Roy Chrismas, Alan Honnisett, Peter Whiting, Trevor Woodgate, Alan and Barry Cornwell for moving the canopy and setting up the display.
